KHREISHEH, AMAL BARGHOUTHI (1957-)

Born in Thinnabeh, Tulkarem on 25 March 1957; received a BA in Psychology from the University of Jordan in Amman in 1980; worked as a social worker and unionist at the General Trade Union in Nablus from 1981-82; was one of the founders of Union of Palestinian Working Women Committees (UPWWC); was an active unionist and women’s rights activist; attended training courses in Management at Birzeit University’s Continuing Education Dept. from 1988-99; since 1990, Dir.-Gen. of the Palestinian Working Women Society for Development in Ramallah (formerly the UPWWC); has worked with the Technical Affairs Committees in 1994, training women in leadership and lobbying; has coordinated the Palestinian Women Legal Charter, which was submitted to the PA; has trained Greek and Cypriot women in Conflict Resolution and taught illiteracy courses to Palestinian refugee women in Jordan; actively involved with a number of Israeli women’s organizations, incl. The Jerusalem Link; head of several women’s delegation to international conferences; member of the Mediterranean Women’s Network and the International and Arab Unions for Workers Education; has written extensively on women issues; studies towards a MA in International Studies at Birzeit University since 2004.

خريشة، امل برغوثي (1957 - ) ولدت في ذنابه بطولكرم عام 1957؛ حاصلة على شهادة البكالوريوس في علم النفس من الجامعة الأردنية بعمان عام 1980عملت كعاملة اجتماعية وعضو في نقابة التجارة العامة بنابلس خلال (1981-1982)؛ أحد مؤسسي اتحاد لجان المرأة العاملة الفلسطينية؛ نقابية ناشطة وناشطة في حقوق المرأة؛ أخذت دورات تدريبية في الإدارة في دائرة التعليم المستمر بجامعة بيرزيت خلال الأعوام (1988-1999)؛ مدير عام جمعية المرأة العاملة الفلسطينية برام الله منذ عام 1990؛ عملت مع طاقم شؤون المرأة عام 1994 كمدربة في مهارات القيادة والتعبئة والتأثير؛ قامت بتنسيق الدستور القانوني للمرأة الفلسطينية والذي قدم إلى السلطة الوطنية الفلسطينية؛ قامت بتدريب نساء يونانيات وقبرصيات في موضوع حلّ النزاعات ودرّست مساقات عن الأمية للاجئات الفلسطينيات في الأردن؛ انخرطت بنشاط في عدد من المنظمات النسوية الإسرائيلية، بما فيها رابطة القدس The Jerusalem Link؛ رئيسة العديد من الوفود النسائية في المؤتمرات الدولية؛ عضوه في شبكة حوض البحر الأبيض المتوسط النسائية والاتحادات الدولية والعربية لتثقيف العمال ؛ كتبت عن قضايا المرأة وقد حصلت على شهادة الماجستير في الدراسات الدولية من جامعة بيرزيت عام 2008.
