DARWAZEH, AFNAN (1960-)

Born in Nablus; grew up in Nablus, where she attended Az-Zeinabiyyah, Al-Fatimiyyah and Al-’A’ishiyyah schools, completing secondary school in 1972; enrolled at the University of Jordan, graduating with a BA in Psychology in 1976 and an MA in Educational Psychology in 1979; worked at the same time in the Amman Training Center of UNRWA; continued her studies at Syracuse University, New York, US, from 1979 and earned a PhD in Instructional Design, Development & Evaluation in 1982; became Assistant Professor at An-Najah University in 1982; became a member of the American Educational Research Association since 1980 and the American Association for Educational Communications and Technology since 1989; returned to Nablus in 1994 and worked as Professor at An-Najah University; became the Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research in 1994 (until 1996) and Director of the Planning and Development Dept. at An-Najah from 1998-2001; full professor of Education in the College for Graduate Studies at An-Najah since 2001; has published over 70 research articles in local and international scientific magazines as well as several books on education, incl. Theories of Teaching (Dar Ash-Shurouq, 2000), and Cognitive Strategies (Dar Ash-Shurouq, 2004), also contributes as a columnist to Al-Quds newspaper (with over 400 articles to date); has a cultural salon in Nablus.

من مواليد نابلس عام 1960 ؛ وتلقت تعليمها في مدارس الزينبية والفاطمية والعائشية في نابلس وأنهت تعليمها الثانوي عام 1972 ؛ التحقت بالجامعة الأردنية حيث حصلت على شهادة البكالوريوس في علم النفس عام 1976 وعلى شهادة الماجستير في علم النفس التربوي عام 1979؛ عملت في نفس الوقت في مركز التدريب التابع للأنروا في عمان؛ أكملت دراساتها في جامعة سيراكوز في نيويورك بالولايات المتحدة الأميركية عام 1979 وحصلت على شهادة الدكتوراه في مجال علم التصميم والتقييم التربوي عام 1982 ؛ أصبحت أستاذة مساعدة في جامعة النجاح الوطنية عام 1982 ؛ عضو في مؤسسة الأبحاث التربوية الأميركية منذ عام 1980 والمؤسسة الأميركية للاتصالات والتكنولوجيا التربوية منذ عام 1989 ؛ عادت إلى نابلس عام 1994 وعملت محاضرة في جامعة النجاح الوطنية؛ عميدة الدراسات العليا والأبحاث العلمية عام 1994 حتى عام 1996 ومديرة دائرة التخطيط والتنمية في جامعة النجاح الوطنية 1998 - 2001؛ أستاذة متفرغة للتربية في كلية الدراسات العليا في جامعة النجاح منذ عام 2001 ؛ نشرت أكثر من 70 مقالاً بحثياً في المجلات العلمية المحلية والدولية وكذلك عدة كتب في التربية، مثل نظريات التدريس (2000) وأساسيات في علم النفس االتربوي2004 ؛ كاتبة عمود في جريدة القدس أكثر من 400 مقالة حتى الآن؛ تحمل درجة “بروفيسور” ؛ لديها صالوناً ثقافياً في نابلس
