GHOSHEH, JAMAL (1961-)

Born in Jerusalem on 28 April 1961; enrolled at Birzeit University in 1979 and studied Administration, graduating with a BA in 1984; worked also as Youth Program Manager at the Wadi Al-Joz Community Center in Jerusalem from 1982-86; works with the Palestinian National Theater, Al-Hakawati, in Jerusalem since 1985, serving in different functions, incl. Media and Public Relations Officer, Program Officer, Business Manager, Executive Manager, and, since 1991, as General Manager; in between, continued his studies and earned a Diploma in Arts Policy and Management from the City University, London, in 1990; served as Consultant for the Tamer Institute during 1991-92 and for UNICEF from 1992-94 and was a cultural coordinator for the British, American and French Cultural Attachés; was a member of the first Nakba Memorial Activities initiated by Pres. Yasser Arafat in 1998; was a member of the Orient House Cultural Technical Committee in Jerusalem in 1998; serves as Pres. of the Palestine branch of the International Theater Institute, France, as member of the Palestine-Swiss Friendship Society, and as Vice-Pres. of the Arab Graduates Club and the Clubs Federation in Jerusalem; is an Advisory Board/Committee member of the Cinema and Theater at the PA Ministry of Culture, the Multi-Sector Review of East Jerusalem project, the Bridge International School, and the Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committees (PARC) Friends’ Society.
