JARAI, RADI JAMIL NASIR (1951-)

Born on 27 Feb. 1951; studied at the Khadori Agricultural Institute, Tulkarem, from 1969-72, graduating with a Diploma in Agriculture; worked as a teacher at the Qabalan School, Nablus, from 1972-76; received a BA in Economics from Birzeit University in 1985; worked as editor at Al-Fajr newspaper, Jerusalem, from 1985-95; was appointed Dir.-Gen. for the PA’s Ex-Detainees Program, Ramallah, in 1995, serving in that post until 2003; continued his studies at Birzeit University from 1996-2000, and earned an MA in International Studies; was appointed Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Detainees Affairs, Ramallah, from 2003-2004; serves as Pres. of Housing Cooperatives and as Board of Trustees member of the Victims of Torture Rehabilitation Center in Ramallah.
