JARRAR, MOHAMMED ALLAM (1954-2017)

Born near Ramallah in 1954; studied Medicine at Rustow University, USSR, graduating in 1980; Exec. Committee member of the Union of Palestinian Medical Relief Committees (UPMRC) and Director of its Rehabilitation Program; Vice-Pres. of the Palestinian Council for Peace and Justice; has worked for UNRWA as a senior medical officer, and managed community-based rehabilitation and primary health care in Palestine, Jordan, Morocco, UAE, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Iraq, and Bahrain; active in the PNGO network and member of its Steering Committee; Sec.-Gen. of the Palestinian National Initiative (Mubadara), founded in 2004; acted as spokesman of the Mustafa Barghouthi campaign during the 2005 Presidential elections following the passing away of Pres. Yasser Arafat.

ولد في منطقة رام الله في عام 1954؛ درس الطب في جامعة روستو في الاتحاد السوفيتي وتخرج عام 1980؛ عضو في اللجنة التنفيذية لاتحاد لجان الاغاثة الطبية الفلسطينية UPMRC و مدير لبرنامج اعادة التاهيل التابعة له؛ نائب مدير رئيس الفلسطيني للعدالة والسلام؛ عمل كمدير طبي في وكالة الغوث وأدار برامج لاعادة التأهيل والرعاية الصحية في فلسطين، الاردن، المغرب، الامارات العربية المتحدة، أفغانستان، لبنان، العراق، والبحرين؛ ناشط في شبكة المنظمات الأهلية الفلسطينية و عضو في لجنتها التوجيهية؛ أمين عام المبادرة الوطنية الفلسطينية التي تأسست عام2004؛ والتي ترأسها مصطفى البرغوثي وراوية الشوا.
