MAQBUL, AMIN RAMZI (1951-)

Born in Nablus in 1951; joined Fateh guerilla cells in 1967 and got involved in their activities in Jordan and Syria; joined the Faculty of Arts at Mosul College in Iraq in 1970 and became active in GUPS; undertook training in the use of weapons and explosives in Syria, Lebanon and Iraq; was arrested in 1973 under allegations of putting explosives in Israeli transporters and was imprisoned for ten years; upon his release in 1983, continued his education at An-Najah University; became head of the Shabiba (Fateh youth movement); was frequently arrested by Israeli authorities as a student, placed under house arrest in 1985, and prohibited by the Israeli army to attend the university; was deported on 2 Oct. 1985; became active in Fateh activities in Jordan together with Khalil Al-Wazir; later was responsible for Fateh activities in the northern West Bank; was a member of UNLU during the first Intifada; after the establishment of the PA returned to Palestine in April 1994; became Sec.-Gen. of Fateh in the Nablus area (until 2000); earned a BA from the Faculty of Arts at An-Najah University and registered for post-graduate studies; was nominated by Fateh to the PLC elections of the Nablus District in 1996; member in the PA Higher Emergency Committee under Pres. Yasser Arafat; member of the Fateh Revolutionary Council in 1996; PNC member holding an observer status in the PLO Central Council; Steering Committee member in an institution related to economy and consumer services; became a member in the Higher Fateh Committee in the West Bank following the arrest of Marwan Barghouthi.

مقبول، امين رمزي (1951 - ) ولد في مدينة نابلس عام 1951؛ انضم إلى مجموعات فتح الفدائية عام 1967؛ انتسب إلى كلية الآداب في جامعة الموصل في العراق عام 1970 وكان عضواً نشطاً في الاتحاد العام للطلبة الفلسطينيين؛ شارك في التدريب العسكري في سوريا، لبنان والعراق؛ تم اعتقاله عام 1973 بتهمة وضع المتفجرات في الحافلات الإسرائيلية وسجن لمدة عشرة أعوام؛ بعد الإفراج عنه عام 1983 أكمل تعليمه في جامعة النجاح الوطنية في نابلس؛ أصبح رئيساً لحركة الشبيبة الطلابية التابعة لحركة فتح؛ تم اعتقاله من قبل السلطات الإسرائيلية أكثر من مرة أثناء نشاطاته الطلابية ووضعه تحت الإقامة الجبرية عام 1985 ومنع من الذهاب إلى الجامعة؛ تم إبعاده بتاريخ 2 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 1985؛ نشط في حركة فتح في الأردن مع خليل الوزير؛ كان مسؤولاً عن نشاطات حركة فتح في شمال الضفة الغربية؛ عضو القيادة الموحدة للانتفاضة الأولى؛ عاد إلى الأراضي المحتلة بعد تأسيس السلطة الوطنية الفلسطينية في نيسان/ابريل 1994؛ أمين عام حركة فتح في منطقة نابلس (حتى عام 2000)؛ نال درجة البكالوريوس من كلية الآداب في جامعة النجاح الوطنية في نابلس؛ عضو لجنة الطوارئ العليا – السلطة الوطنية الفلسطينية برئاسة ياسر عرفات؛ عضو المجلس الثوري لحركة فتح عام 1996؛ عضو مراقب في المجلس الوطني الفلسطيني؛ عين وكيلاً لوزارة الداخلية في السلطة الفلسطينية في مطلع العام 2005؛ عضو في اللجنة العليا لحركة فتح في الضفة الغربية.
