Description
The author of this book is consultant to the World Bank on the Palestinian NGO Project. This project was established in 1997 to support NGOs directly, at a time when the socioeconomic situation for Palestinians had deteriorated and the PA was unwilling or unable to take on most social service delivery. The book describes the origin, evolution and aims of the project, and undertakes a critical assessment of its performance and impact to date. It includes an outlook for the future of the project as well as a summary of conclusions and lessons learned.
