This publication contains the papers presented at a PASSIA conference (“The
People of the Book – Common Roots and Shared Responsibilities”), which
discussed and explored the three Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Islam and
Christianity) in terms of spirituality, history and tradition as observed by each
faith, their perspectives on the “other,” their relationship with the state, as
well as issues related to jurisprudence and the treatment of minorities.
