This booklet contains the proceedings of the very first PASSIA seminar, held in October 1987, on the subject of Germany and its relations with Palestine direct as well as in its wider Arab-German and European-Arab contexts. The seminar shed light on Palestinian issues per¬taining to rights, people, and the land and raised the issue of the German “guilt-complex” before asking whether and how a new formula for German-Palestinian relations can be found.
