This publication contains the proceedings of the PASSIA Training Program on Train the Trainer, which was conducted in September 2002 by development consultant Khalid Nabris, and can be used as a resource document to develop the skills of trainers to be. The report presents a review of basic concepts, principles, tools and methods of training and provides guidance for planning, implementing and evaluating effective activities. Chapters deal with learning principles, experimental learning, effective communication, teambuilding, planning training programs, presentation skills, training styles and techniques, training methods and tools and their effective use, and monitoring and evaluating training programs. The appendix includes steps for a training session based on the experiential learning cycle, as well as a training evaluation form and selected internet resources on the topic.
