Born in Anabta in 1913; studied at An-Najah College, Nablus; worked for a while as a policeman under the British Mandate, then resigned and was appointed as teacher at An-Najah College; left his job to participate in the 1936 Revolt; also wrote poems
reflecting national sentiments published in different newspapers; left with other Palestinian resistance fighters, incl. Abdul-Qader Al-Husseini, to Iraq, where he joined the Military College; graduated as an Officer; was appointed as a school teacher in Al-Basra, Iraq; returned to Palestine and worked as teacher at An-Najah College until 1947; participated in the Palestinian resistance against Zionist expansionism; was killed in combat in the Al-Shajara battle near Nazareth in 1948; some of his poems were collected after his death and published in 1958.
